Why is my period so late? I

Okay…I'm a teenager and my period is around a week late. I don't always keep the best track, but it's been on the dot on the sixteenth of the month for at least two months and it's always been regular. I know certain things like stress and being active enough can change things, but they never seemed to effect my cycle before.

These past three weeks have been really stressful for a number of reasons. My ex-boyfriend has become a total dick and we can't talk for too long before he frustrates me. His step brother keeps trying to hit on me. I worked at a camp with little kids all day for a week and my friend who dragged me into it considered herself all high and mighty because she was a teacher and the rest of the teenagers there were councilors, so she got super bossy and snappy with us. Plus, if anyone's ever spent any prolonged period of time with a large group elementary kids, it's exhausting.

As far as being active, I've been outside a lot but not "active" like exercising. I've been on the beach or by a pool in the sun but I was reading or wading in the water.

I'm not anorexic or have any form of eating disorder. I do much love food and have at least two meals a day with lots of snacks in-between.

I lied, actually…stress does occasionally effect my period. I'll get super nasty cramps and nauseous. But that also happens if I skip breakfast during my period for one reason or another and can't take any medicine for it because I haven't eaten.

Is there something that could be seriously wrong with me? Or is it just because I'm a teenager and I'm still technically not fully through puberty?

Answer:Even if you miss one or two cycles, you probably do not have to worry. If you miss more than two periods in a row, you will need to see a doctor. This does not have to be sexually related. You may have an hormonal problem or are experiencing a great deal of stress. Other reasons you might miss a cycle (other than pregnancy) are eating disorders, excessive exercise, stress, physical illnesses, etc.

Good luck, Your BEINGgirl Experts

Answer:its definitely stress if you have more stress than usual it can effect it

Answer:Periods can be irregular; it doesn't mean that there's something medically wrong. My period is fairly erratic, and I'm surprised yours have been so spot on. Stress can be a factor to when you menstruate, but it shouldn't be prolonged much longer. Wait a week or two, and if you still haven't had the painters in, go consult your doctor.

Answer:if you having periods and you just started like in the period of two years, it is normal that your period sometimes not be on time or sometimes not come at all. it sometimes one or two or three months. that is normal. just, don't take too much aspirin or any other headache medication cause it could cause to stop it. do not take aspiris or tylenol or ibufropen during the days you have period. not good for your over all health.

Answer:"My ex-boyfriend has become a total dick" Holy shat! so what your saying, in essence, is that your boyfriend, has… transformed, from human, to… penis…. Incredible!
