What in the world is going on with my ovaries? Can someone please help me?

I'm 12 years old and I've had my period for around two years now, and whenever I get them I go through a lot of pain, it's genetics. But the other day, I felt something strange go on inside my ovaries. Two days ago, I slept over at my best friend's house and at around 11 pm, I felt this "popping" sensation going on in my ovaries and at the moment, there was no pain, just a little uncomfortable. Half an hour later, and I feel extremely sore in my ovaries and lower back, and I still felt the popping inside me. I was in such tremendous pain, I couldn't even get off of the couch because it felt like my insides were being ripped. My friend offered me Tylenol, but it was over 800 mg and I told her that was too strong so she gave me an ice pack. After an hour of excruciating pain, I fell asleep with the ice pack on my lower abdominal. In the morning I felt fine, but two days later I got my period, in the morning. I had terrible pain in my ovaries, probably one of worst I've ever had. It felt like someone was cutting me open with a chainsaw, I took a pill and it calmed down after two hours. Now, I've heard on medical shows that these popping sensations I have are due to cysts, I have no idea what those are but it sounds really serious. What could all this mean, what could it be? Please help me, I am very worried that I might have something going wrong in my body, it's scaring the living crap out of me.

Answer:I'm 15 and you probably have cysts i have them… That's pretty much how mine started out… talk to your Mom or older trusted adult and go to a Gynecologist… They will do an ultrasound and get you on medicine to regulate your cycle… Good luck! Also it's called poly-cystic overiain syndrome…

Constipation during period?

I am a 14 year old girl, and I've had my period for over a year.

Every time I get my period, I get so constipated, it's riciculious! (Sorry it's kind of gross…..)

And I also bloat alot because of the constipation and water retention.

Is there anything specific I should do to prevent this from happening?

I heard lots of fiber (fruits/vegs) works, which are the best? And when should I be eating more of them?

Answer:Fiber is believed to help with regulating digestion so that part is true. Are you using tampons? If you are, the fact that you have a tampon in your vagina while your body is trying o pass its waste may be why you feel constipated. If you feel its time for a bowel movement, try taking the tampon out and using pads and waiting awhile. You can help bloating by exercising rigorously during your period (the sweating will help remove the retained water).

I use light tampons, but my flow is moderate/heavy.. I use light and change them about every 3 hours, they dont leak, but the reason i use light is because they fit my scedule.. like i can change them at lunch durning school and theyll be fully saturated. lunch is the only time i can change it, or i have to wait the whole day.. so i change them at lunch, okay getting off track.. is it okay to change them that often ? I know leaving them in for too long is bad, but is changing them too often a problem ? thanks for the advice ! (:

Answer:You should be using the lowest absorbency tampon for your flow and changing the tampon every 4-8 hours. If you find your tampon fully saturated before 4 hours, you should be using the next absorbent size. If you remove the tampon at 8 hours and still see white fiber on the tampon, your tampon is too absorbent…drop down one absorbency for the next time.

OK so i got my first period In feburary around the 6th of that month ok so i havent gotten it since then i got it Yesterday ;thursday.

The doctor told me today that I've had cysts on my ovaries for over three years and learnt that when he did a test on me 3 yrs ago and apparently at the time I was told the test came out normal. Now today he checked his records again and told me these exact words which she read from my test reports on her computer " ovaries are normal size, appear to have cysts on them"…

Now what the hell is this statement suppose to mean? Do I have polycystic ovarian syndrome ? I asked the doctor and she said "you have polycystic ovaries." I asked her what that means….she said means u have more than normal "cysts" on ur ovaries…most people have less than 12…I had more…

Now here is the real brainer- I am an overweight person (but I have been a chubby child ever since I can remember) but I have to admit I can not attribute my being overweight to PCOS as I have been not keeping track of what I ate as I was terribly stressed for past 5 years, hence I indulged in comfot eating and what not…..moreover I did suffer a bout of hirsuitism (on face) in the past 3 years..but now I am fine…without taking any medications…although I should mention I have been generally more hairy than the average woman…so again here is a grey area…

Now the most tricky bit is my periods are ABSOLUTELY normal….they are the same as they begun the very 1st time…even the timing is perfect…they come the same day and time every month as the previous month they came…they last for 5 days…and use to be painful until 2 months ago when my period decided to give me a visit twice in 4 weeks..and since then no pain during periods….and they carry on normally…

So now my question is what do you think I have?

Am I still ovulating as I am having a regular period? Will I be able to conceive?

Can I still NOT be ovulating even when I am getting my periods regularly?

Is it PCOS or something else? Or is Polycystic ovaries different from PCOS…? Whats going on in me?

p.s- I have also cut down any form of artifical sugar for the past 2 months and have lost weight.

Yesterday my boyfriend fingered me but it wasn't the first time. I didn't bleed straight away but like a little while later I went toilet and there was blood on my knickers.
